At this moment in history there is no shortage of people eager to deny the truth, to exclude, to criticize, turn a blind eye, close off their hearts and say NO.

The ‘Yes’ crowd has always been in the minority but today, more than ever, there has never been a greater need for people to do the right things rather than doing things right: People to step up to the plate and say YES!

These are changing times. Society is undergoing a huge transformation. That’s what a pandemic does. It focuses the mind and the heart and forces honest, strategic thinking. Could a RESET be in order?

Stepping up your game is always scary. Getting beyond outdated, limiting beliefs and behaviours in order to fashion a new version of ourselves is always stressful.

Many have gone before you. It’s just that this may be your time.

Heading down a new road is not for the faint of heart. It’s all about sewing seeds of new expectations for yourself, letting go of conventional techniques, outdated dictates of society and rules of the market place. It will take a ton of courage, thorough research, thoughtful planning, hard work and sacrifice.

That’s a tall order, I know. It’s not for everybody, but you’re not everybody. In the words of T.S. Eliot, “If you aren’t in over your head, how tall do you know you are?”

As the world begins to reopen and we all start to think about how to grapple with the new reality, all options are on the table.

So how do you get on to what’s next in these unconventional times? Where do you start?

Start at the beginning by taking responsibility for yourself. Establish what you really value and what you know, in your heart of hearts, you’re all about. And then determine whom you want to serve.

You get to decide how you live your life. The past is done. The future depends on what you do today.

The choice is yours. Even when it feels impossible, remember it’s not: Not if you want it badly enough.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, it is going to be amazing for those who are willing to do the work and heartedly embrace the future!

If you are presented with an opportunity to make your difference, keep on walking. And don’t look back.

It’s hard to escape the daily onslaught of bad news: The constant drum beat of defeat in the media, the never ending litany of fear, uncertainty and negativity seems endless.

The naysayers and doubters would have us believe we’re doomed. It’s only a matter of time they say… (who is they, anyway?) It’s all too easy to think, why bother?

Don’t let them crush your spirit.

Sure, there are lot of issues that must be addressed, but as ominous as the sky may look, it is not falling in. There are many people just like you, never giving up, doing what they believe is the right thing to do, moving ahead, making a difference.

Life isn’t about waiting for the sun to come out but rather learning how to dance between the raindrops!
