Say Hello to 2022!

as-the-old-year-winds-down-drew-simmie

What a year this has been! The list of challenges and issues is long, headed by the pandemic.

Historically, pandemics have never been easy. They disrupt everything and try the patience of mankind’s souls.

As the virus continues to mutate, as much as we would like to think so, it isn’t over yet. There is really not much left to do but mask up, get vaccinated, maintain our social distancing stance and stay hopeful.

As we all step up our plans for the holiday season and the  year end celebrations, it is good to  constantly remind ourselves that we will prevail:

Everyone, in his or her’s way, forever changed; but facing the future, armed with courage and renewed hope, pen in hand, ready  to write a new chapter in their book:

Best written, I think, as in the words attributed to T.S. Eliot, that “last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.

Fist raised high in the air, say HELLO to 2022!

As the door closes on the year behind us, please accept my best wishes to you and all who you hold dear and all the best in the New Year.

Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay connected.

As always, thank you for reading me.

NOTE: This is the last post of 2021. I’m pausing for a short while. Please join me again back here in January.

An Eye On the Clock

The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is. C.S. Lewis

the-future-is-coming-at-sixty-minutes-per-hour

It isn’t easy these days to hold on to your dreams. At every turn negativity and pessimism rear their ugly heads. The world appears to be breaking into two groups. One is sure that we are all going to hell in a hand basket so don’t bother. The other says no, no no…..the future is bright if only we’re open to the new opportunities and changes that beckon.

It was always thus. No great work or extraordinary accomplishment in any field of endeavour has ever come without courage and hard work.

Whatever your dream, in order to ‘have,’ you must first ‘do’ and in order to ‘do,’ you must ‘be.’

Take action. Get out there. You know what to do.

There are only 24 hours in a day. Use them wisely.

Time goes quickly. Keep an eye on the clock…

Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay connected.

I hope to see you back here soon. As always, thank you for reading me.
