There’s a new year knocking on the door.

In spite of the cynics and pessimists, there are good things going on all around us and amazing initiatives in the works.

All over the globe, there are people like you, thoughtfully doing their best everyday for themselves and others, refusing to give into the greed, lies, fake news and all the social media madness.

They are special, these people.

In spite of it all, they have made an active choice to stand up what for they believe in and, to that end, continue to work towards a better world.

Not blindly, but rather with a hard-earned experience and unfailing optimism, they embrace the new year and celebrate another chance to get it right.

It has not been an easy year and 2024 promises only more changes, challenges and turbulent times. No one knows how it will all go. It will be what it will be.

But as always, we hope for the best knowing that hope is the oxygen of the human spirit.

However or wherever greetings and good wishes are expressed at this time of year, or in whatever language, as the old year winds down and the new year beckons, the message is as universal and timeless as the message in this medieval Celtic blessing:

May peace and plenty be the first to lift the latch on your door, and happiness be guided to your home by the candle of Christmas.

In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship and never in want.

Whatever your dream, in order to ‘have,’ you must first ‘do’ and in order to ‘do,’ you must ‘be.’

Take action. You know what to do.

There are only 24 hours in a day. Use them wisely.

As the future beckons, the conundrum facing many is whether to just give full throttle to their current activities or, perhaps, pause for a deep rethink about the arc of their lives.

Big thoughts, I know, but as you adjust to the new realities, whatever path you chose, know that you have all you need to maximize your potential, step up your life and be the best version of yourself that you can be.
