Putting Everything In Order

To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to  put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must set our hearts right. Confucius.

Getting Through Life’s Storms

keep-moving-forward-drew-simmie

Life is divided into three terms – that which was, which is, and which will be. Let us learn from the past to profit by the present, and from the present, to live better in the future. William Wordsworth.

In our world of constant change, there is a community of accomplished women and men who, whenever they suffer a setback, steel themselves psychologically, and replying on a mixture of hope and persistence, jump right back into the fray and land on their feet.

Always up for the the next challenge, determined to stay relevant, they want to maximize their potential and be the best version of themselves that they can.

For some, that might mean simply sharpening their skills and  stepping up their current game. For others, it could well involve re-imagining themselves and striking out in a totally different direction.

Uncertainty, pessimism and negativity are everywhere. The work place is no longer the way it used to be. The very idea of work is changing. In today’s world, you’re either falling behind or moving ahead. There is no middle ground.

Life can be complicated. Living well doesn’t just happen. We all experience life storms and each time as we recover from them  it’s a good idea to stop for a time, to pause and pat ourselves on the back, and celebrate getting through them; gratefully recognizing that there is always something beautiful for you, if only you are you willing to see it.

Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay connected.

I look towards to seeing you here again soon.

Believe

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. Anais Nin.

So much of your success is directly related to the amount of trust you have in yourself. Your perceptions are often far more accurate than you are sometimes willing to believe.

BELIEVE. The more you trust your intuition the more empowered you become, and the happier.

Doing what you feel in your gut what you feel you must do is never easy and it takes courage, but without it you can’t sustain the  effort you need to make it all happen.

Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay connected.

I hope to see you back here again soon.

Fingers Crossed

The future is called ‘perhaps’, which is the only thing to call the future. And the important thing is not to allow that to scare you. Tennessee Williams.

America’s future as leader of the free Western world is being called into question. The country desperately needs a new generation of altruistic leaders. The world is watching and hoping that the country will, once again, step up to the plate and do the right things that are so desperately needed. To take the route of man’s better angels rather than cling to what has past.

All that needs to be said has been said, all the thoughts expressed. There is much good work to be done.

Tomorrow night we shall see what we see…fingers crossed.

Stay safe. Stay strong. Stay connected.

I hope to see you here again soon.
